Satisfied…

We sang this song this morning at the end of church. I especially love the line “Hallelujah, He has found me.” There’s no telling where I would be today, if I hadn’t been rescued by Christ. I’m so thankful to have been found of Him. There’s absolutely nothing that I did, can do or ever will do that can bring me to Him. The work which saves is done and HE did it. Praise God!

All my lifelong I had panted
For a drink from some cool spring.
That I hoped would quench the burning
Of the thirst I felt within.

Chorus:Hallelujah He has found me.
The One my soul so long has craved
Jesus satisfies my longings.
Thro’ His blood I now am saved.

Feeding on the filth around me
Till my strength was almost gone.
Longed my soul for something better
Only still to hunger on.

Poor I was and sought for riches
Something that would satisfy.
But the dust I gathered ’round me
Only mocked my soul’s sad cry.

Well of water ever springing
Bread of life so rich and free.
Untold wealth that never faileth
My Redeemer is to me.

  1. This song was such a blessing to me this morning too! I agree that there's no telling where we would be if He had not found us. I always try to remember that when I see people living ungodly lifestyles. It's so much better to pray for them than judge them because without Christ we would be there too. Thanks for sharing this!
