Recent Etsy Loves

One of my new favorite places to hang out is Etsy. There are so many…okay, overwhelmingly many wonderful shops to browse through. Handmade items are so intriguing to me. I wish I had more time to knit, sew, scrapbook to name a few, but I enjoy finding beautiful things that others have made. I always wonder what the story is behind each item, but without doubt, each beautiful handmade object is made with love.

Here are a few of my most recent finds. Oh, and I’m not being paid to say all these nice things!

I’m just sayin’ ’cause I’m lovin’!

~Marie-Madeline Studio Dishcloths

Aren’t these beautiful!? Don’t you want them in your kitchen?? I do. It’s all I can do to keep myself from buying them right now! I love all of the amazing things that the ladies of Marie-Madeline Studio create.

These dishcloths were crocheted by their Nana who is spending more time in her rocking chair these days. See, I told you that these things had to have a story behind them.

Be sure to visit the Marie-Madeline Studio website, blog and Etsy shop.

~GooseGrease

It’s a funny name, I know, but Michelle and Kelly who run Goosegrease are incredibly creative and talented. They make the most wonderful handpainted items. From customized wedding cake toppers, yoyos and cupcake toppers to dolls, dominoes and pirate checker sets, they do it all.

Whenever God blesses our home with a girl (besides me), I’m going to get her some of these dolls. The paint that Goosegrease uses is non-toxic so it’s generally safe for children after they stop putting everything in their mouths. I wouldn’t have a clue what that’s about though! Ha!

You can find Goosegrease on Etsy and Facebook. I also found a great post about the process that each handpainted item goes through. It’s facinating!

~Lily Pottery “Flowericious” Jewelry

I l.o.v.e this girl’s stuff! She makes everything you can imagine. She has just recently introduced her “flowericious” rings and necklaces. I don’t think that the flowericious rings have made it to her Etsy shop, but Lily blogs as well. So, check out her sites!

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the Etsy shops that I love.

Note: I have personally met the owners of GooseGrease and Lily Pottery. I haven’t met the lovely ladies of Marie-Madeline Studio, but from the e-mails that we’ve sent back and forth, I know that we would be wonderful real-life friends! All that to say these folks are wonderful, honest and super creative!!

  1. Wow, I would love some of those dishcloths too!!! They are so pretty. GooseGrease has such creative stuff. I'll definitely have to get some of the dolls. And I absolutely LOVE the rings and necklaces from Lily pottery!

Thanks for sharing all these wonderful blogs/shops!

  2. Myra,

Thanks so much for featuring Nana's dishcloths on your blog! We just spoke with Nana yesterday… She feels so blessed to be able to do something that means something! She continues to crochet away and takes lots of joy in doing so.
Myra, we're sure we'd be real life friends too!

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Adorable things on there huh? I will admit, I have never gone on the site!! AH! I know – I should. I am into crocheting and scrapping, jewelry making – so most of that I would make myself. But the things you are showing on your post are so cute and unique!

I believe I have come across your blog before – recently actually. You're little one is adore – we have a 9 month old son! This times flies! – so cliche BUT TRUE!

  4. I love Etsy also! I can sit on there for hours browsing through everyone's wonderfully unique creations! Thanks for sharing!

  5. I have had to ban myself from Etsy lately because I find myself drooling over items I can't afford right now! 🙁 I have gotten some great ideas, though, for things I can make myself!! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Kelly – as is Joyful Adorations, Kelly? LOL Wow – with how big BlogLand, it can be quite a small world! I came across your blog one other time, but commented on both of yours today (through Lynnettes) nice to meet the both of you!

I am currently looking through the Esty store registration and regulations, it all seems a bit overwhelming to me. I would love to put things up on the site, but I just don't know where to start 🙂

I was also trying to find a way to sell them on my own blog – but am hitting a road block there too. Any advice??

  7. I try to avoid Etsy because I always want to go a bit crazy, but I love it when people show me something specific. I am loving that ring!! Heading to check it out 🙂
