Blueberry Pickin’ With The Fam!!

One evening this week, my family (mom, bros, sister) Ridley and I went blueberry picking. We started out at a new place and it was just really “weedy” and had very short and immature bushes. So, we got back in the cars and headed to our favorite blueberry farm to pick to our hearts content.

Even though it was later in the evening, the heat was still pretty rough. The sun was beginning to set in the west and the glare wasn’t that great either. But overall we had a fun time! Ridley did ok for a while…until he got super hot and sweaty. The blueberries were so sweet!

It was a really good thing for us to do this together as a family. Even though all of us “girls” were missing our husbands, it was so nice. It seems like we’re always going all different directions and to be in the same place, at the same time was quite refreshing! But I digress.

Here are some pictures from our little outing…

Mr. Blueberry Farmer had the cutest grandchildren…the dog (pit-bull) was okay too!
My blueberries are in the refrigerator. I need to get them out, pick through them and get them in freezer bags! I’m going to use them in smoothies, muffins and on cereal! Maybe I’ll even make some blueberry bread! Yum!!

  4. Oh how fun! I would love to go berry picking. I used to do that when I was a little girl and still the smell of fresh berries makes me feel at home.
