I Can’t Believe I’m Writing This Here…
Happy Monday! I’m not sure if MckMama is going to be putting up the Not Me Monday Carnival because Stellan was struggling quite a bit during the night with SVT. We need to keep him in prayer. But I decided to go ahead and do a NMM post! There’s just a couple things really weighing me down. I MUST tell you all about it!
This past Wednesday, I did NOT take my precious 5 month old Little Man out on the lake. I absolutely did NOT make him wear a much-too-big and swallowing life jacket. And after this anxious momma calmed down that everything was going to be ok and that Little Man wasn’t going to get ejected out of the boat, I certainly did NOT take his life jacket off. No sir! It stayed on the whole time…NOT! Nope, not me!
Now… for the most embarrassing confession I think I’ve ever made…publically anyway.
**A little background info must come first. Maybe it will soften the looks of horror that I’m imagining from all the supermoms who might read this. The first 2 houses that we lived in didn’t have a stitch of carpet in them…ok, well maybe a couple rugs. Anyway, we swept the floors regularly and had no problem. So, we moved to this house a year ago and all the floors are hardwood and tile (which are regularly swept) except for the 2 bedrooms and office. For 4 months after we moved in, Prince Charming and I both worked all the time, so we weren’t constantly tracking dirt all over the floor.**
Well, we finally did NOT buy a vacuum and it definitely did NOT sit in it’s box, in the corner for weeks…errrrr…no, NOT months, until finally I did NOT vacuum on Friday. And nope, I was NOT shocked almost-to-the-point-of-throwing-up-in-my-mouth at the dirt and grime that was in the canister! I would never do anything of the sort! Nope, not me!
Give yourself a break! After 6 years of being married, I finally realized that dusting was probably something I should do. After a month, I promptly forgot…until RIGHT this minute.

your little man looks so cute in his life jacket. I think if I took my kid on a boat I would have done the same thing.
Oh my goodness–Little Man looks so cute in that jacket!!! And I just had to laugh about the vacuum sitting in the box for months! That is hilarious, girl! If it makes you feel any better, my MIL mopped my floors the other day and I was so embarrassed at how absolutely FILTHY they were. Ooops, wait. That wasn't me! Nope, definitely NOT ME!
