Summer Mantel 2016

*This post brought to you by Better Homes and Gardens Products at Walmart.

Good morning! :) I am excited today to share our Summer Mantel with you today! I am loving citrus tones lately and it’s my favorite thing ever to pull out the old orange life ring each Summer.

So pretty!!

I kept the mantel simple and symmetrical this year. The white lanterns are Better Homes and Gardens products found at Walmart. I just added twigs and cotton stems to those. Easy peasy.

I thought it would also be fun to add mason jars to the lanterns and then I could add fresh flowers to them. Candles would also be pretty!

I also picked up these cute green pots by Better Homes and Gardens as well. You could plant something in them, but with my brown-ish thumb, I went with fresh flowers. Haha!

My colorful Child Craft books make me so happy! They are perfect display during Summertime.

What a fun mantle!! You chose the chippy pots in the green and love how you put them on an angle. They look so good next to the chippy lifesaver ring! Those flowers are a beautiful match too. I like the symmetry of your approach. I remember someone having that set of encyclopedias. We’d need two sources and so we’d use our encyclopedias and our neighbor’s–that set!! Look great on the mantle. I don’t think your pretty set was used by about four families and about ten kids between them. Over ten years!!!
Nicely arranged and done. Enjoy for months!!!!
