Nursery Makeover Reveal

by Myra Hope

A couple of weeks ago, I had the amazing opportunity to meet up with my sweet blogging friend Shaunna at Lauren’s house to create a nursery in a day!  Lauren is due in just a few weeks with a baby girl.  Several friends came out and helped with painting, painting and more painting. We couldn’t have done it without those girls!  Looking back at these pictures just makes me so happy because the room turned out beautifully!

The nursery doubles as a guest room, so we treated the full size bed as a “daybed” of sorts. Shaunna selected the beautiful gray bedding from Target and I made the yellow pillows from Target cloth napkins.

The beautiful crib bedding was made by Cottage and Cabin Interiors, Shaunna painted the dresser with Annie Sloan’s chalk paint Arles. Love the color!  The alphabet wall art is from The Handmade Home…it’s a free printable, y’all!

The little blue chippy container came from Hobby Lobby {I think!} and the monogrammed “S” spindle is from Shop 24.  Cuteness!

Shaunna bought these curtain panels from Target for 9.99 each and then we proceeded to paint cabana stripes on them.  Yes, we painted fabric curtains! Check out Shaunna’s tutorial for details! :)

That would be my arm…painting. Ha!  I squeezed every. single. last. drop of chalk paint out of that roller. :)

I made these fabulous floor pillows with a beautiful pink and white graphic fabric from Willow Tree Fabrics and more Target cloth napkins! :)  The square floor pillow has an envelope opening, so the pillow insert can be removed.  I enjoyed creating the rectangular lumbar pillow with contrasting fabrics.

With pieces from Red Letter Words, 58 & Grace and Cottage – A Coastal Store, the gallery wall turned out beautifully!

Just to give you an idea of the drastic change…here is the room before.

And now, it looks like this…

And the other side of the room…before.

And after…

WOW! It was such a wonderful time creating this space for Lauren’s new baby girl.  Her reaction was priceless.  I think we all shed a few happy tears. :)

The team with sweet Lauren! :)  Pretty sure our smiles tell all.

This is what I love…creating spaces for beautiful people. I hope that this project is the first of many that bloggers join together to create!

Y’all have a great day!

I love what your team came up with. The colors are beautiful. Unlike typical nurseries, this one is perfect to “grow up” in. Great Job.
