Loving Aqua & Red

by Myra

I don’t know what’s come over me lately, but I’m smitten by aqua and red. {swoon} They are cool and warm – calming and stimulating, but together it’s the best of both worlds. Wow. I’m considering using these colors together in our kitchen and breakfast area. {should I?}

We are planning the window seat construction {woot!}, so hopefully we will have it completed in about two weeks!

On to the aqua and red eye candy…

I love the cabinets and the chairs!!

Cutest cafe curtain ever!

The table, the bed, the roman shades…love it all!

Isn’t the chalkboard on the wall just fabulous?!?

source: kiddos and crafts

Adorable bedding!

The patterns, colors and textures in this room are impeccable.  Wow.

Last, but certainly not least, my friends, Layla and Kevin, just finished their reading room redo.  It is beyond amazing!  Like old gymnasium flooring on the wall amazing.  Go check it out!

So, what do you think? Should I implement some aqua blue and red into the kitchen and breakfast area?

I love that combination … since using those two colors on my blog, I am finding myself consistently drawn to them. And I’m going to use them at “The Cottage” in Muscle Shoals for the kitchen. So I say – GO FOR IT! :)

I’m a huge fan of aqua and red! My son had an aqua & red polo shirt with a white collar and little white shorts last summer and I just fell in love with it. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!

I love Aqua and Red also!!! I picked those two colors for my blog for sentimental reason………..My girls birthdays are March and July, it is in honor of them. My kitchen is blue and red and I love it, we did it over two years ago and it is still my favorite spot in my house. Thanks for the pretty eye candy.

Oh my goodness. I love that color combo too. I’m amazed because that “kiddos and crafts” bedroom has almost the exact same bedding as my daughter’s room. And I custom made it. Funny!

Aqua and Red are just so happy together! I’ve been nuts about that combination, too. I’m also liking soft aqua with dusty olives. I think I want to repaint my beach cruiser in those colors! I will be so very cute. Ask me, I’ll tell you! :)

I have aqua and red in my living room!! The color on the walls is actually called “Blue Shamrock”.
If you go to my blog, there is one about some ‘re-do’ in my living room and shows some of my accents and touches with red. It doesn’t show the whole room, but enough to give you an idea.
I LOVE the color combo and have had it in this room for about 3 years now…..and I don’t tire of it!!!
I say go for it!! You’re an awesome designer and crafter—you know what you’re doing and you can tell that you put a lot of thought and love into each room and area you do!!!!!!!

Totally gorgeous… all of them!!! I LOVE that color combo, and while I’ve never thought about doing it in my home, I might now! Something about the Aqua really simmers down the Red.

Red and turquoise are my two favorite colors, separately. So seeing them together just makes me so happy!

This is my favorite combo too! It is all over my house. And the hubs likes it too because my favorite color is aqua/turquoise and his is red. (=
I am in the middle of refinishing my dining set. I have the chairs red and I reupholstered the cushions in this heavy (almost fancy burlap) deep turquoise material. Next week I am finishing the table- it’ll have red legs and a deep walnut stained top. I can’t wait to see what you decide to do!
