Very Successful Baking Days!

by Myra on November 4, 2009

If you missed my “Baking Days” To-Do list, you can see it here. I’m quite pleased with the results from these two days. The only thing that I didn’t get done was crockpot chicken. I didn’t have any chicken on hand and I didn’t want to go to the grocery store.

So…

Here’s what I made:

5 batches pizza dough (frozen)
2 dozen Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins (frozen)
3 meals Taco Soup (frozen)
3 meals Chili (cooling in picture before being frozen)
2 loaves Banana Bread (frozen)
1 lb ground beef (left over from other dishes, frozen)
A huge batch of pinto beans that I’ll divide and freeze
Homemade Granola

Not pictured:
Lasagna
Swiss Ham Bake Casserole
Steamed Cauliflower

I’m so thrilled to have all these meal options in the freezer! But, oh my, my feet were so tired after being in the kitchen all day on Tuesday! Ha!

Looks like you did great! :) Tiring, but definitely worth it, I think!

Great job! I always do smaller baking days, but I'm starting to see the benefits of getting more done to make the rest of the month easier!! :-)

Oh my gosh! How do you do it? I have a hard time making 1 meal per day. I am very very impressed. If I could find a day to do something like this it would sure make meal times easier in the future!

I would love your recipe for pizza dough. we eat pizza at least once a week ( I usually buy mine from Trader Joe's for about a $1)

Looks like you got a lot done, which is quite an accomplishment with a baby!

I saw your comment on my blog and wandered over here. It does look like we do have quite a bit in common. How lovely. :)

That is a LOT with a little one! Good job! I'm so glad you're using the pinto bean recipe – I use it usually once a week, and then freeze in cup-size baggies in…and I'm frequently quite grateful that I have them to pull out for quick lunches.
