*Note: My Target experience was worse than frustrating. My cashier was totally clueless about the Target coupon policy (stacking one manuf. coupon with a store coupon for the same item.) She gave me a HUGE problem…people were stacking up behind me because she was being SO slow and argumentative. Finally she gave in to my kind but firm insistence that this was the corporate policy! Then I went to customer service and the girl (highschooler with lip pierced clueless look) said, “Oh no. We don’t do that and you can’t do that anywhere.” I must have looked stunned at her obvious state of misinformation. I said, “Oh yes you can…Publix does it all the time.” Then I told her “Thank you.” And I left before they could stop me for following their own policy. Argh! Can’t they get someone to work at Customer Service who actually knows what’s going on? Anyway, I called Target Guest Services and what I did was confirmed as correct. I also called my local store to let the manager know that they really need to educate their cashiers of the correct policy. Even though I was almost at my boiling point inside, I was SO very nice and kind, but firm to everyone I dealt with! 🙂

  1. Good for you! I frequently have had problems with Target stacking coupons, etc. It is very frustrating to say the least! I think that you handled it very well. I ended up emailing corporate and getting them to email me their coupon policy, and I carry it with me in case there is a problem.

  2. I agree with Martha. Target is notorious for bad service and coupon education. It makes we very thankful for stores like CVS that bend over backwards to be helpful.

  3. Well, I got the e-mail from corporate regarding their coupon policy. I’m going to carry it with me when I go next. Bonnie, I’m glad that your CVS is helpful. Our only 2 CVS stores within probably 30 miles don’t take printable coupons…oh well.

  4. I used to like Target….until I moved to Birmingham. The target where I live is awful, I never go in there unless I’m looking for something in particular.
