I have been thinking a lot the last few days about the thoughts of God. How amazing His thoughts are to me! It is overwhelming, vast and humanly impossible to try to even understand the preciousness of God’s thoughts toward His people. God….thinks…..about…..ME? Wow! What wondrous love! I want to delve deeper into this subject, but for now, here are some characteristics of God’s thoughts…
- They are high above ours. (Isa. 55:9)
- The thoughts of His heart are to all generations. (Psalm 33:11)
- His thoughts toward us are innumerable! (Psalm 40:5)
- They are very deep. (Psalm 92:5)
- His thoughts toward us are precious and great in number. (Psalm 139:17)
- They are thoughts of peace, not of evil. (Jeremiah 29:11)
How great is our God! His thoughts are so far above ours, but isn’t it wonderful that His thoughts toward us (lowly people) are so many that they can not even be counted? Let’s rejoice today in our amazing Saviour!
