Book Stack Giveaway!

Welcome to Happy Housewife Living Life’s very first giveaway!!
I’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time, and this carnival is the perfect time to jump in!
I am an avid reader, as is my hubby, so we have tons of books everywhere in our home!!! In thinking about what I could giveaway, I decided to giveaway a book stack! We’re all recycling these days anyway, right?? I’m excited about these books because they touched my life and I’m sure they will touch yours if you win.

Here are the books in the stack:

  • Confessions of an Honest Wife by Sarah Zacharias Davis–The author is the daughter of well-known author and speaker Ravi Zacharias. This is an awesome book about marriage. I completely enjoyed all the different topics, issues, perspectives and experiences.
  • Dancing Under the Red Star by Karl Tobien–This is a true story about Margaret Werner and how she was the only woman to survive the Siberian death camps in Stalinist Russia. This time period in history is one of my favorites, so I enjoyed and was inspired by this book!
  • Better Off: Flipping the Switch on Technology by Eric Brende–This book is inspiring in a humorous sort of way. The author is a bit extreme in his rebellion against technology. But overall the point of the book is good. Basically he and his wife gave up all technology and are “free.” He is now a rickshaw driver and soap maker! (Disclaimer: My engineer hubby (read: techno gadget dude) thinks this guy is a bit cooky, but I enjoyed it!)
  • The Shack : Where Tragedy Confronts Eternity by William P. Young–This has been a pretty popular book in Christian circles lately. I heard about it and saw it on a book rack one day, so I purchased it. The cover of the book says that it is comparable to Pilgrim’s Progress…well, I wouldn’t say that it’s THAT good but it is an inspiring story…and I’m not going to say any more! ha!
