Frugal Friday – Fleece Blanket Gift Idea

My sister made a fleece blanket for Ridley as a shower gift back in November (the animal pattern above). We LOVE it and use it all the time. When we came home from the hospital in January (on the coldest day of our winter…literally), we used the fleece blanket to cover the car seat. It is thick and cozy to keep the cold air out. Ridley loves having his play time on it as well.
After seeing how pretty and easy the blankets are to make, I decided to try one myself for Ridley’s cradle. It turned out well too! 🙂
This is a very frugal gift idea: for birthdays, Christmas, baby showers etc. You can often find fleece on sale at fabric stores. Boys and girls love them, College students love them, babies love them…it’s a great gift for anyone.
