Home Blogging Haven Conference 2013

Happy Friday, beautiful people! It’s been a good, quiet week of being at home. I’ve needed a low-key week after the amazing, awesome home and DIY blogging Haven Conference last weekend. It was fabulous to say the least. I’m so thankful that I was able to attend. I spoke on a panel with my friends Sarah and Beth about advertising.

My sweet husband {along with my MIL’s help} kept the boys for three days while I was away. Can I just say that it was really good for my mommy heart to have just a few days with no child responsibilities? By the time the conference was over, I was ready to get home to my babes. 🙂

Haven Friends

My favorite part of blogging conferences is meeting online friends in real life. Many friends I’ve met before and it was great to make new friends too. I’m not kidding when I say that my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. I don’t think I stopped smiling for three days.

Haven Booth

The conference sponsors were incredible and I was especially excited to visit with my friends from Southern Accents Architectural Salvage. They are phenomenal.

Haven Hotel

The Grand Hyatt Regency hotel was an incredible venue. So, so pretty and comfortable!

The fabulous Ana White gave the opening keynote. She is inspiring and so stinkin’ cute with her baby bump. 🙂

The smile booth was such a fun part of Haven this year. My bestie Emily and I had fun with it. Who knew she had a gangsta streak? Not me. And we’ve talked nearly every day for three years. Ha!

Speaking of having fun and acting crazy…I love these girls. They are the best. 🙂

And yes, we do know when to smile nicely and act professional. 😉

That’s a wrap on my Haven Conference experience in Atlanta. It was so. much. fun. I’m still laughing and smiling and remembering. 🙂

Have a fabulous weekend!

  1. I always manage to talk myself out of blogging conferences but the posts that have been popping up about them lately have me really considering one. Thanks for the post, glad you had fun!

    1. Hi Katie! I’m so glad that you learned a lot from our session. It was fun to teach! Haven was awesome and you were on my list of people to meet that I never got to. Next year! 🙂

  2. I noticed a lot of striped tops in the group pictures. Was that planned? I love stripes and, well, I just notice quirky little details like that. : ) Mommy time is so nice and important. Looks like a lot of fun!
