Songs of Loudest Praise

Good morning, lovely people! This hymn is one of my favorites. And it’s one that my precious three year old boy has grown to love as well. It makes my heart so happy to hear him sing.

I love this verse too…

O to grace how great a debtor
daily I’m constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
prone to leave the God I love;
here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
seal it for thy courts above.

Old hymns have such rich words. Truly, we have so many reasons to sing songs of loudest praise. Don’t mumble along, but praise Him loudly! 🙂

Do you have a favorite old hymn?

  3. Thank you for posting this. I checked my email before leaving for church and this reminded me of how we used to sing it. Today in worship, we sang this song! It made me really look at and listen to the words.
    Thank you for being a blessing to me!

  4. This was our college fellowship “theme hymn” many, many years ago. I still keep up with most of those dear people. The words always express what I’m needing to remember.
