Happy New Year {2012}!!!

Happy New Year’s day, y’all! I’m thrilled with the new beginnings and the fresh start that come with a brand new year, aren’t you?!

I’m so thankful for each of you who read, comment, talk to me on Facebook and Twitter and send me sweet emails. I’m also thankful for those of you who hang out, but don’t say much. I’m blessed to have the best readers on the planet! 🙂

I love thinking on these words in light of the new year…

For the year before us,
O what rich supplies!
For the poor and needy
Living streams shall rise;
For the sad and sinful
Shall His grace abound;
For the faint and feeble
Perfect strength be found.

Here’s to a fabulous 2012 together!! 🙂   What did you do to ring in the new year?

  1. Happy New Year to you!! We spent the evening with some friends eating, talking, and playing games…lots of fun!

  2. Happy New Year to you!!! I love your blog…I visit it often but have never commented. 🙂 I slept in the new year. Busy Christmas holidays+2 sick children=little sleep for me, so I couldn’t keep myself awake to ring in 2012. Maybe next year! 🙂

  3. We “counted down” to midnight (really 8 pm) and lit sparklers with our grandson! Later, back at home, we made some really good popcorn – the old-fashioned way on the stove in a heavy pan! At midnight we went outside and enjoyed the beautiful starlit sky and thanked God for a brand new year. This morning we started a brand new devotional that we plan to read together each morning at breakfast.

    Enjoy your blog a lot! Thanks for all the great posts.
