Spiffying Up The Bathroom

*This post brought to you by Better Homes and Gardens Products at Walmart.

Hey there! Even though we have construction and remodeling going on here in the kitchen, den and laundry room, I took some time to spiffy up the bathroom that we remodeled last year. It’s one of my favorite projects that we have ever taken on with our novice DIY skills. It is our “guest” bathroom, so I try to keep it looking better than worse. 😉

I scored a few new things for this space from Walmart.

I love the shimmery shower curtain from the Better Homes and Gardens Glimmer collection. It is so light and airy. And the elegant stripes are on point.

New towels and a new rug really liven up the bathroom too. You can’t see it super well in the photo, but the white stripes have glimmery, silver threads running through them. I love the sparkle that the rug adds to the rustic bathroom floor.

Organizing and tidying is in my blood, so I love these cute containers to help keep things where they belong!

Cute!

The grey and aqua color scheme is carried over from the shower curtain and rug to the hand towel as well.

The toothbrush holder is only 8.97 and the covered jar is 12.97 – perfect for holding q-tips or cotton balls!

I appreciate how affordable these new things were from Walmart. You don’t need to break the bank to give a room a little spiffying up just in time for Spring! I’m ready for some warm weather and beautiful sunshine, aren’t you?

What room would you like to “refresh” for Spring?

  1. Myra, this is SO pretty! Light and airy, fresh and modern. We’ve been discussing updating our guest (and kids) bathroom but aren’t quite ready for a remodel yet. This is the perfect compromise! I’m so excited about this that I’m stopping at my Walmart TODAY after work to pick up a few things!! ; ) Thanks so much for the inspiration.

  2. Who knew Wal-Mart had these beautiful towels and shower curtain? Maybe these will spur my husband on to updating his bath! Ha! I pinned them. Love all of these items and I am going to look for them on my next WM visit. I also love the lamp and the God is Good All the Time hanging. Can you share where you got them? By the way I am reading your book right now and enjoying every page!!! Thanks for clueing me in!

  3. I love the colors you have chosen for your bathroom! I love reading your posts..who knew Wal-mart carried all these beautiful things!

  4. Great colors!! I would love to tidy up my bathroom or my kitchen. Thanks for sharing.

    Blessings… Sherri

  5. Love how you brightened up your bathroom, Myra! The colors are great, especially for Spring…. Thanks for sharing – I always enjoy your posts, especially the decorating ones! Looking forward to seeing your kitchen transformation. Blessings to you!

  6. Myra, I love this. I’ve been enjoying the Better Homes and Garden line too. You picked my favorite color scheme and you used it perfectly!

  7. Wow, this looks so lovely. I was just bathing my son tonight thinking, ” ew, I’ve got to do something about these tiles! “. I love the lamp on the washstand too, what a great look, v luxurious. The tiles all the way up make the bathroom look really big too, you’ve inspired me, thanks!

  8. The colors are great!! You did a great job on refreshing the bathroom. I’ve been trying to think of how I want to change my bathroom colors, but haven’t decided yet. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

  9. Myra – love the refresh!! Just catching up with you and was wondering – Where did you get your hooks for the towels? Are the hooks a chrome finish?

  10. I understand you, a lot of time and effort is always spent on repairs, but if you find a high-quality supplier of services and goods , the process will be much more pleasant. We are now also studying luxury bath reviews, such information more openly and clearly makes it clear what quality of work we expect, and whether it is worth choosing this contractor

  11. These are good ways to make the bathroom look more cozy! A great, but not a simple addition to this list would certainly be a shower door. There’s nothing wrong with curtains, but shower doors are better at keeping both water and mold at bay. And you can customize these too, not just via coloring or tinting, but also with edgework!
