Hospitality is Beautiful & Fun

/

Happy Monday, y’all! We had such a wonderful weekend with our friends Brad and Jen and their quadruplet boys. It’s the first time we’ve had six house guests in this house and I have to say that it was SO enjoyable.

Jen and I met through blogging back around 2009-2010. {Blogging has brought some of the dearest friends I have into my life!} Our husbands have since become friends and they have run two Ragnar relay races {200 miles each} together. Our boys are close enough in age to have loads of fun playing together. 🙂 We just click!

Having company is such a good motivation to get things cleaned up. Am I right??? I’m happy to report that our carport {and the guest bedroom} no longer look like they could be on an episode of Hoarders.

The boys slept on air mattresses and cushions in the living room. Fun times!

My sister and her kiddos came on Friday for lunch too! 3 moms, 10 kids, no problem! 😉

I served homemade pizza, homemade bread, toast, PB&J sandwiches, fruit, hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixins, homemade granola, potatoes, onions & eggs with bacon and probably something else I’m forgetting.

Food is a Southern woman’s love language. It’s how we show love to the people in our home. 🙂

The weather was gorgeous this weekend. The sunsets were jaw dropping!

The boys dug around in the ditch, collected rocks, played with the animals, went fishing, rode bikes, went on a boat ride, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and so much more. The opportunities for fun around here are endless. Ha!

It was a fantastic visit with friends. Sweet memories were made. It’s wonderful to have special friends and I’m SO happy to have a home to share with others. 🙂

When was the last time you had house guests?

xoxo
