10 Amazing Uses for Peace & Calming Essential Oil

/

I’m so excited to tell you about one of my favorite essential oil blends. Okay, I know I say that every oil is my favorite, but this one is at the top of the list. Peace & Calming. Oh, how amazing are those words! I’m absolutely positive that I’m not the only momma who needs a good dose of peace and calm. Ahem. Am I right?

Peace & Calming is a wonderful, fragrant blend of tangerine, ylang ylang, blue tansy, orange, and patchouli essential oils. It smells ah-mazing!

Here are 10 Amazing Ways to use Peace & Calming….

1.  Rub 1-2 drops on the bottom of the feet and on the shoulders before bedtime to get a good sleep. This really works for me!

2.  Apply to wrists and neck before a stressful meeting or event. You may get compliments on how nice you smell too.

3.  Diffuse to calm the kiddos.

4.  Add a few drops to epsom salts before adding to a bath for a relaxing soak.

5.  Diffuse at night for restful sleep.

6.  Add Peace & Calming to coconut oil or other massage oil for incredible relaxation.

7.  Place a drop at the base of the skull and on wrists. Inhale deeply.

8.  Add 4–5 drops to 1 cup Epsom salt for a calming bath at the start of the day or as part of an evening routine.

9.  Use as perfume behind ears and on wrists. I alternate Peace & Calming with Valor.

10. Rub on child’s feet at night to help settle.

Factoid of the day: Gary Young formulated Peace & Calming specifically for children. I love that!

  1. Hi Myra- Thanks for allowing us into your life each week, you’ve been an encouragement to me. I really want to try the oils, esp. since I am going to have a gynological surgery this month. Funds are very tight right now, do you know if Youngs will be running a promotion for new sign ups? Last yr. they ran one in the first of the year. Thanks again!

  2. Hi, this is all brand new to me.. I have been having anxiety like crazy and stressed all the time and its hard to find time for myself working full time with a one year old… I’m willing to try anything, I really want to try the peace and calming but I didn’t know if you could tell me any other oils I can use… Like I said this is all new to me and I really don’t know where to start… Thank you thank you

  3. Hi! I just started using YL oils and have had incredible results with the Peace & Calming on my 4 year old. She has always struggled with sleep (getting to sleep and staying asleep), but has slept the whole night for the last 4 nights after rubbing P&C on her feet with coconut oil. Such an answer to many prayers. My neighbor is asking if she can use it on her 7 month old. Do you know if this is okay to do so young?
Thank you for your help! 🙂

    1. Hi Jessica! How thrilling!!!!! 🙂 You can use it on babies…I would just dilute before applying to feet like you are doing for your 4yo. 🙂

  4. Hi Myra,
I was just wondering what the difference is between Peace and Calming
    and Stress Away?
    thanks,
    Debi

  5. Hi Myra,
I was doing a little research on what oils I could use to help calm down my 2 year old for bedtime. She has been having some trouble recently settling down for naps and bedtime. I saw in the comments that I can rub coconut oil with P&C on her feet. About how much of each do I use and do I just mix them together, then apply to her feet?
Any other suggestions are welcome, too…thanks for your help!

    1. Hi Valerie, I would just apply to her feet (big toes especially) with a small dab of coconut oil. 🙂

  6. I have a 3 year old. I don’t have coconut oil. What is another option for diluting peace and calming? Or can I just put a few drops on his big toes? He wakes frequently during the night and won’t go back to sleep! Would you suggest P&C with lavender to diffuse?

    1. Olive oil, grapeseed oil are fine. You could try just applying a drop of peace and calming to his big toes at night. I would experiment with P&C and Lavender…but not together. Some people relax so much that they wake up with Lavender, but P&C works for them to sleep…and vice versa. So I would try both just different nights.

  7. My husband and I love peace and calming for bedtime. We’ve been leaving the diffuser on at night until it turns itself off. Then I noticed the bottle said diffuse for an hour at a time… Should we stop the long diffusing time?

    1. No, that’s totally fine. Those instructions are for the Therapro diffuser that diffuses straight oil into the air vs. a cool mist diffuser with water. 🙂

  8. My husband and I love Peace and Calming! We diffuse it every night when we go to sleep. He grinds his teeth and is a very light sleeper and this has helped immensely!

  9. Why not lavender and peace and calming together !? I am new . I used a drop of lavender in my four years olds cut before bed , then mixed three drops of P and C (I did not mean to use three , they just poured out) mixed with coconut oil (about 1 tsp and a half) . That’s ok right

  10. Thank you for telling us about this. To be honest, I would never have thought that such oils can be added as a salad dressing. For me, this is just a real discovery – they can be eaten, it turns out. Although I really love aroma oils, I have never created aroma bouquets from them, if you can call it that. Therefore, I will save some of your recipes and will most likely use them in the very near future. My beloved and I love to soak up the bathroom or in bed, and at the same time, some wonderful aroma hovers around us. That will be another excuse to arrange an evening of relaxation. Thank you.
