Colorful Spring Vignette {2013}

/ / /

Good morning, lovely people! And Happy April 1st! Are you going to pull an April Fool’s joke on someone today? Hehe.  I’m excited to show you my Colorful Spring Vignette that’s been making me smile for a few weeks! I love that {almost} every single thing is either from a yard sale, thrift store, library sale or bought on clearance at TJMaxx. Happiness!

I painted my apple green deska few years ago. It was a risk, but I seriously love it every day. It is such a fun, happy color. I’m not afraid of combining unusual colors…I mean, who would put an apple green desk with an orange lamp? I guess I would. 😉

I found the lamp at a yard sale for $2 and promptly gave it a new life. The shade that I originally put with it was {to be perfectly honest} quite sad. Why did I do that?! Anyway, I recently bought a shade from Target and it looks so much better.  The floral tray is also a yard sale treasure. I’ve always loved the colors, but haven’t actually used it yet in my home decor. However, it is perfect for pulling together the colors going on in this vignette.

How can you do Spring without a bunny or two? I found this bunny at the thrift store. It was quite ugly. Ha! With a bit of white spray paint, it is perfect.

The white metal vase  is from the TJMaxx clearance shelf because it is missing the handle. I don’t really care about that, but I LOVE the finish on it. Swoon. Here are a few more beauty shots…

I love this closeup photo of the desk.

Pretty.

{The black distressed mirror is also a thrift store makeover…tutorial here!}

My sweet big boy. Love him! 🙂

Tulips are my favorite flowers. Someday, I’m going to plant a boatload of tulip bulbs, so I can have fresh tulips at a moments notice. 🙂

That’s all for today, folks…my bright and happy Spring vignette! 🙂

  1. It is very pretty! I agree with you about tulips. Roses use to be my favorite flowers but tulips won me over a few years ago. I love your green desk and that it isn’t distressed. It looks crisp and clean. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love what you did Myra! It looks so springy, bright, and cheerful! You have inspired me to go out and find some yellow tulips to put into a vase on my entry table. 🙂

    Thanks
