Vintage Cookie Cutters

A few weeks ago, I was going through some boxes and found a set of vintage aluminum cookie cutters that belonged to my granny. I’m so thrilled to have found them again. Ridley’s been asking if we can make cookies and for some reason, he thinks that it’s Valentine’s Day soon and we need to make heart-shaped cookies. Ha!

This set of cookie cutters has a star, a heart, a diamond, a bell and a spade.  I remember playing with granny’s cookie cutters many years ago in her kitchen. Such sweet memories!

Aren’t they cute?!  I love them!

I’m thankful for these tokens of “kitchen love” from the past. My granny was an amazing cook and she made THE best chocolate chip cookies in the world.

Do you have a kitchen treasure from the past that brings back good memories?

  1. My Granny has the same set. We made biscuits with them every morning when we would visit Granny and Pap. The heart shape was my favorite. 🙂

  2. I have several of my granny’s kitchen treasures one of my favorites is the cookie jar that she used to keep full of her home made Chocolate Chip cookies for us :))
    Great memories enjoy your cutters!

  3. I’m actually sitting here shaking my head in wonder. My 3 1/2 year old has been making “Balentine’s” all week and telling me Happy balentine’s day!
Have the two of them been talking?

  4. Great webpage. I was going through my storage these last couple of days when I came across my vintage cookie cutters today. Thanks for sharing yours. I would like to know how others may display theirs. My kitchen is being redone and I would love to display mine. Thank you! 🙂

  5. Wow, what a great treasure to have. I remember my mom having some like that when we were little….wonder where those went? I am getting both of my grandma’s wooden recipe boxes filled with handwritten recipes. I also have a set of stacking bowls from my grandma that I love. She passed away a few years ago and I still get sad when I look at those bowls, wishing she was here to bake with me still!

  6. I have my great-aunt’s cookie cutters. Fond memories of baking with her when I was a child. Now I use them when I make gingerbread cookies or sugar cookies with my boys. 🙂
