30 Week Pregnancy Update {Belly Picture!}

/

Happy Wednesday, y’all! Today marks 30 weeks for my pregnancy, so I thought I’d share an update. I can’t believe that I’m only ten weeks away from my due date! Ack! Where has the time gone?

I’m definitely growing and am feeling a lot of baby movement every day. What a sweet feeling it is.

I’m feeling pretty good. Just a little tired in the afternoons after lunch. I’ve had great reports from my midwives on my glucose, blood pressure, baby’s heartbeat and size. My iron was on the low end of normal, so I’ve been taking chlorophyll to boost my iron level.

Eating a high protein diet continues to help a lot with my energy. And drinking tons of water…and ice. Oh, how I’m loving ice water!

My only minor pregnancy complaints are having to get up a few times each night to use the bathroom, occasional indigestion and how it takes longer to get over a cold.

We went on a trip to South Carolina this past weekend and my feet didn’t swell at all! I was so thrilled because they often swell even when I’m not pregnant. Success!

I have a 30 week checkup tomorrow, so I’ll be sure to update my Facebook page with how it goes. 🙂 I’m convinced that eating healthful foods, supplementing with Juice Plus and drinking Red Raspberry Tea have contributed to a much healthier pregnancy this time.

Do you have any 3rd trimester tips to share with me? I’m all ears! 🙂

XO

  1. I don’t have any tips, because I’ve never been pregnant. But seeing that picture of you sure makes me wish (even more fervently) that now is the time. 🙂

  2. I think one of my favorite things about being pregnant was the movement. It was the best feeling! You look so beautiful Myra, enjoy the last 10 weeks (or less!) 🙂

  3. I just had our third daughter last week so being pregnant is very fresh on my mind. I drank red raspberry tea religiously and recommend sleeping as much as possible. I took a nap everyday with the kids and slept 8-9 hours at night. It made the fatigue so much better. Best of luck to you.

  4. Absolutely beautiful! Enjoy your pregnancy. My precious miracle daughter was born at 27 weeks, at 2lbs., 7ozs., who is now a healthy & driving 16 year old, lol! She had a rough start in life, but she is the best blessing ever. I love your blog! Congratulations!

    1. I’m actually not sure what made my feet not swell. Maybe a conglomeration of everything? 🙂

  5. You look great! I’m 22 weeks, and I think my belly is bigger than yours! 😉
My big tip is to exercise during pregnancy. Especially walking! It keeps you and the baby healthy, and makes labor and delivery soooo much easier!
Take care of yourself! I wish I could follow the advice given above about sleeping. I have a 5 1/2 yr old and a 3 yr old, so it’s kind of a challenge!

  6. I am at 31 weeks right now and I TOTALLY feel ya on the swelling of the footsies issue! My one thing that helps is a Lavender Epsom Salt soak (found at Walgreen’s….about $5.99 a bag) which not only brings down the swelling, but is also quite relaxing! Also, if you don’t have anyone to help with the soak (I use a huge bucket and hubby lugs it into the livingroom for me) then may I suggest an ice pack on the top of the feet. It feels great and the swelling actually goes down quite a bit! FYI….you look AWESOME!!!!

    1. Thank you Johanna! I missed feeling Ridley inside, so I know I’ll miss it again. Such a sweet feeling. 🙂

  7. It sounds like you’re doing everything just as you should. Trust your midwives.

I also always loved the feeling of my babies moving inside of me. Oddly enough, my youngest is now 32, but I have a nerve that jumps in my abdomen every few months that feels JUST like a baby kicking. It scared me to pieces the first few times I felt it many years ago. Nowadays, I just laugh when it happens & watch for a star to rise in the East. =^..^=

  8. You’re beautiful! 🙂 I love you! And in your third trimester, do everything you need to do to be healthy, enjoy this time, de-stress at all times, put your feet up for a little every day! Trust God! You’re precious!

  9. You don’t even look pregnant!!!! You are so tiny!! Im 5 weeks ahead of you and Im huge!!

  10. Dear Myra,
You are the prettiest preggy Momma ever, just shining with inner peace and true joy!
I felt rather stressed when I was pregnant and my obstretician suggested me to take some soft gym sessions at the swimming pool, they were specially adapted to pregnant women and they brought me a lot of well beeing…
    Wishing all the best!!!
