Fruit And Yogurt Smoothie

Hey y’all!  I’ve been meaning to share this super easy Fruit and Yogurt Smoothie recipe for a while now.  I’ve shared before about how to make a green smoothie, but this one is just a little different…maybe a bit more refined.

This fruit smoothie is a fabulous breakfast or snack part way through the day. My hubby loves having a smoothie after he works out.

The options are endless, but here is our favorite combination…

Yogurt, berries, an apple, a banana, raw sugar and vanilla.

The kale leaf is optional.  🙂

This is what the smoothie looks like with a kale leaf. So many amazing vitamins and minerals!

  1. I do 6oz of Fat Free Chobani Greek yogurt (whatever flavor I happen to have:), 1 banana, 1/2 cup of frz. blueberries, 1/2 cup frz. strawberries, heaping tblsp of peanut butter and 1/2 cup of fat free milk. Delish!! It ends up being my breakfast and morning snack;)

  2. I love 1 c. coconut milk (Silk makes an awesome beverage—find it near the soy and almond milks in the store–Target here has it) since I can’t do too much dairy.

    I like to add 1 scoop protein powder for extra protein–PlantFusion is my fav since it’s non-dairy, non-soy. I drink a coconut milk, protein, and berry smoothie (sometimes with a banana and a tbsp. of extra-virgin coconut oil too) for breakfast every morning. It’s yummy, fast, and convenient to drink as I’m trying to get everyone else fed and hubby and DD1 out the door.

  3. Our family loves smoothies.   4. Looks yummy! I have a smoothie almost every morning. I usually use frozen organic blueberries, a few frozen organic peach slices, 2 large handfuls of organic baby spinach, an organic banana, organic pomegranate juice, ice cubes, and a splash of organic almond milk. This makes enough for me and my 5 year old, sometimes I even split it 3 ways when the hubs is home. It is delish! Cheers! xo-Lisa

  5. I love smoothies so much. What’s your favorite fruit to use as the main ingredient? I love watermelon but I also like the strawberry. Thanks for sharing this. I gotta make one for my kids.

  6. Do you taste the Kale in the smoothie at all? In other words could I sneak it into my kids smoothies?! I have a son who is picky, but he loves my smoothies and I’m always trying to through all the healthy stuff I can in there!!

    1. You can’t taste the kale at all especially if you use the banana which is sweet. 😉 If kale scares you a little, you can use fresh spinach which is very easily pureed.

  7. I like to add spinach leaves to our smoothies. It doesn’t have much of a taste to it but it does turn the smoothie green-which my boys find very cool.

  8. Made this for lunch, but used some raw milk instead of yogurt and just added a little extra frozen fruit to compensate for the thinner base. I also left out the sugar and it tastes sweet enough to me. I’ve never put an apple in a smoothie before, but the past week or so apples have not appealed to my pregnant self, so I took the opportunity to eat one this way.
