Curious George Birthday Party

Happy Monday! I hope y’all had a great weekend!  We had a crazy busy, but fun one. On Saturday, we celebrated Ridley’s 3rd birthday with a Curious George themed party for family and a few precious friends.   Ridley loves Curious George and I had fun putting together the party.  I didn’t go ‘all out’, but it was just right for our little man!

My dear sister made cupcakes and I bought the little Curious George toppers from ConfettiPrints on Etsy.  Also, the cupcake papers are from Michael’s. I’m impressed with them because they retained their colors even after baking. Woot!

I used the built in book cases in our dining room to set up the food.  Do you like the colorful circle garland?

These are the invitations that we gave out. Cuteness!

Cupcakes, nuts, M&Ms {a ginormous treat at our house!} and homemade pizza!

Grapes and broccoli/carrots with homemade ranch dressing.

Yummo!

Adorable Curious George and Banana cups from The Pink Zebra Bowtique and red and white paper straws from Garnish. My, oh my, how I LOVE the straws!!

I toasted bread, spread it with peanut butter, cut in 4ths and then topped the toast with banana slices.

I decorated the table with Curious George paraphernalia, finger foods and party favors {bouncy balls, punch balloons and party blow-thingys}.

The birthday boy!  How in the world is he THREE?!

We loved monkeying around to celebrate! 🙂

Do you have little people who love Curious George?

  1. Okay this party seriously puts all my attempts at coolness to shame. I would have loved a party like this for even my 30th birthday! I have to ask where did you get that lamp?

Very nicely done – a great balance of healthy snacks and favorites. I’m assuming part of the kids “goodie bag” was to keep the cups? Brilliant!

My youngest is turning 4 in a few weeks and you have totally given me some inspiration to make a really fun party for him 🙂

  2. I did Curious George for my son’s 1st birthday (he turned 3 this past September so he and Ridley are pretty close to the same age). He wasn’t “into” Curious George, but I really liked it and loved that it was “vintage”. Henceforth he has chosen his birthday themes…not vintage. 🙂 I’m getting ready to do my daughter’s 1st birthday in Raggedy Ann, decided to keep with the vintage 1st birthday themes. 🙂 Your party was absolutely aDoRabLe!!!!

    1. Did you buy that circle garland somewhere or make it? It’s so cute! i want to do that for my daughters birthday this weekend!

  3. Ah, what memories you are creating for Ridley! He’s going to *KNOW* that he’s loved!!! You are creative, ever-energetic and you put such thought and love into this special celebration!
Enjoy each and every year….they DO fly by. 🙁 My girls are now almost 31 yrs old & 29 yrs old. Now I am enjoying the grandbabies!
Now—my 50th birthday is next October—-think you could do a Curious George party for ME??!! 😉

  5. Hi! I happened upon your blog while googling Curious George Party Ideas. I am throwing a George party for my 2 year old. I had surgery 2 weeks ago, and am SERIOUSLY behind on my party planning! I got the George invites out, and thats about it! Haha. I really love the garland you had on the table. How did you make them?

    1. Hey Leslie! I’m actually doing a tutorial next week for the garland, but it was super easy. I cut various circles from felt and hot glued them to ribbon. Easy peasy! 🙂 I hope you are feeling better from your surgery!

      1. @Myra, Awesome!!! Thanks for the info… I had a partial thyroidectomy, but am doing great and feeling just about fully recovered. 🙂

  6. I am throwing my 2 year old twin sons a George themed party in less than 2 weeks. I LOVE those cups. DO you think it’s possible to order them from Pink Zebra and have them shipped to Michigan or do you know of the rand name or other places that might sell them online?

Thanks for all the great ideas!

  7. I love those cupcake topers but it seems like they are no longer on etsy or I just can’t find them, can you help.

My almost 2 year old LOVES Curious George and your ideas are great!

    Thanks

  8. I’d like to order tumblers, but I can’t figure out how to order them from the company’s fb page. Can you advise me?

  9. I know this might be a dumb question but what kind of beverage dispenser is that? Iam not sure if you have lemonade in it or what but I love it.
