/

It’s so hard to believe that November is here! Where did the year go? I’m quickly transitioning from “Fall mode” into “Thanksgiving mode.” It is always, always good to count blessings and thanksgivings so here are 10 Thanksgiving Crafts to inspire you and your family to give thanks!

I adore this Thankful Tree from Decor Chick! Everyone needs one to be sure!

With construction paper, a toilet paper tube and paper plate, you can make this adorable Thanksgiving turkey craft.

Create a Thankful Box from a cigar box, shoe box or even a basket or jar!

This Thanksgiving handprint project would be cute as a laminated placemat!

I grew up making paper chains, so this Thanksgiving {free} printable chain is right up my alley. Beautiful!

This Thanksgiving paper pumpkin is adorable…and SO easy!

I love this Thankful Leaf Garland. Just lovely!

And what could be more adorable than a Thanksgiving Chalkboard. I think I actually might do this one with a 0.50 chalk board that I scored earlier this year.

Does your family have a Thanksgiving “thankful” tradition?

  1. I really like that leaf garland.
All of the projects are so cute.

A while back we made a Thankful Tree – you can see it here – http://www.cookingatcafed.com/2009/12/our-thankful-tree-and-big-thanks-to-2.html

(Please ignore the remarks about cat poo…we had a strange little inside joke going that year. LOL!)

Interestingly, the tree became a permanent fixture in our boy’s room – strung with white Christmas lights.

It’s amazing how simple things can become permanent fixtures. I’m glad the Thankful Tree was such a hit 🙂

  2. We used to make the paper turkeys in elementary school when I was a child. I had forgotten all about it until I saw this picture. Love the paper chain because it’s oh so simple and cute. I am also digging those leaves! Now that’s cute.

  3. My sister and I have never been big fans of Thanksgiving so this year we decided to do a blogger challenge: “Thankful November” where every day in November you have to start off you day with something you are thankful for. It has been so fun to think outside the box about things God has blessed us with and to encourage others to be thankful as well! You’re welcome to join us if you want.
    I love your blog!!! 🙂

  4. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia but I always cook up a Thanksgiving feast for my family and parents and we celebrate it our way! Thanks for sharing your pins-I am going to repin some of them straight away!

I have posted a few of my favourite Fall images from Pinterest at my weekly Pinning & Singing Pinterest party. Please stop by if you have 5 minutes. I would be so honoured if you could link up this Pinterest Inspired post too!

    Best wishes,
    Natasha.

  5. Hi Myra,
These crafts are awesome. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Brazil, but I have personally prepared some Thanksgiving celebrations just in the family.
I hope I have the time this year to at least make some crafts with my boys. Tweeted your post 🙂

  7. Thank You so much for sharing this wonderful Ideas! I love especially the handprinted placemat and the Thankful Box! Have a Wonderful Weekend Myra, and many Blessings!

  8. These are great ideas! I home school my 6 year old and he love crafts. This should keep him busy!
We are missionaries in Mexico – so no Thanksgiving holiday here but I still try to make everything my family is having in Florida. My husband is a seminary professor and in the past we have invited his students to our house and they love it. They start asking about it months before Thanksgiving. His program has grown so much that I can’t do it this year. A turkey here costs $1.50 a pound – so feeding 20-30 seminary students gets pretty expensive 🙂

  9. Hello Myra,
I like the thanksgiving crafts idea so much. These 10 thanksgiving crafts, all are very creative but I like the yarn thanksgiving turkey and thanksgiving printable chain. I also have made lots of thanksgiving crafts such as magic leaf drawing, color place cards, ear of corn place card, fall letterheads, pop up place cards, string of leaves, thankful leaf wreath, thanksgiving letterheads etc.
