Today I’m Thankful For…

I love sharing my “thankful list” with y’all each week.  The accountability helps me “look” for those blessings like I mentioned last week.  Unfortunately, many gifts can’t be photographed, but I’m going to share them anyway.

Last week, we discussed these beautiful flowers.  The consensus is that they are lilacs!  They did smell amazing!

Today, I’m thankful for…

This picture because the beautiful lilacs are no more, thanks to the confusion between Winter and Spring. I think they might have finally figured it out…maybe.

…the endless hours that Ridley enjoys his little $15 Smart Car!

…the sun shining in my 60 year old windows.  It was a long, dreary week until today!

… Ridley’s fabulous 2 year old sense of style! 🙂

…this handpainted, vintage tray from a deceased relative.

I’m also thankful for…

…the Spring breezes flowing through my open windows

…sounds of lawnmowers running

…amazing scent of fresh cut grass

…my sweet husband who gave me six hours of “Myra time” {i.e. shopping time} by taking care of Ridley for me

…the sweet, kind, patient love of my Jesus.

There is SO much to be thankful for in life…so many little things.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. My grandaughter saying, “Mema, hugs, hugs!” She is 20 mo. old and adorable! The beautiful sunset tonight after such a cloudy day.

  2. Oh, seriously? No more lilacs? Too sad. We don’t have them here in Texas, but I am very grateful for all those years enjoying them in Minnesota! Whenever I find a candle that smells like lilacs, it is mine!

  3. What a wonderful way to post what you are thankful for! Is it sad that I will actually have to think about what I’m thankful for? Yeah, it’s been one of those weeks! I think I’m going to start carrying the camera with me (now that I found it) so I can document more!!

  4. I’m thankful for this gorgeous Monday morning! I have just bought a trunk load of flowers and herbs to plant in my garden! I’m so thankful that I have good health to work hard AND when I really don’t think I am capable of making anything beautiful, I am reminded that I am made in Christ’s image…creativity is in me…somewhere! I pray a little scripture over my home and flower beds: Psalm 90:17 (KJV)
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Thank you for your blog, I just stumbled upon it this morning, and can tell that you are a kindred spirit!

With love and blessings to you and yours~
