LOL! I can totally relate! Having a showing on your house is so much worse than just having company over… You can’t just stuff things in the closet and close the door… You’re lucky if you have bedskirts and beds high enough to stuff things under! And 9-1-1… Yes, my little one has done that too! ☺

LOL What a week, I’m sorry! It never fails, when the house is pristine or your fully dressed no one comes but when the house is a mess and you’ve been in your pajamas for days then EVERYONE stops by; unannounced.

I’ve been fortunate with the phone. My kids have called people a few times, but thankfully never 911.

I can relate!

I remember the days of walking behind our young boys picking up crumbs before a showing. Stressful! Trying to keep the house clean while your children are young is so difficult.

My baby girl dialed 911 a few months ago. We were surprised by a visit from the local police to make sure all was well.

As the person who answers 911 calls, I think that everyone should be aware of the fact that any cell phone, even if it doen’t have service, can dial 911. At least you were nice to the dispatcher and didn’t let him keep playing with the phone. You can’t imagine the people who get mad because we call them back to make sure everything is ok and then we get repeated calls because they hand the phone back to their child. We also have peopel that say I didn’t call unitl we read all the information we have back to them. Everyone should keep in mind that as soon as you hit send or the last 1 is dialed on landline that the call goes through even if you hang up. It is best to stay on the line and just tell teh dispatcher that it was a mistake.

OH boy! Your post brings back memories when we were trying to *desperately* sell our house in TX. We had to keep everything ‘perfect’ for about 2 1/2 yrs…ugh! With a newborn, all I did back then was feed, change and clean…repeat…repeat. Good luck with the sale of your house so you may endure no more.

I’ve done what you did before too! And then there was the time my son caught a doily on fire five minutes before the showing… Ah good times!

Both my sons have accidentally dialed 911. It happened to my oldest at school, the phone was in his pocket and all of a sudden it started vibrating in class. He's not supposed to answer it, but they kept calling so he checked it and it was the police calling back! He finally had to tell the teacher that he needed to take the call because it was 911, lol. I think most cell phones now are pre-programmed to speed dial 911 if the “9″ is held down. My kids have actually done that a few times. Lol The operators are usually very understanding about it!
