Wordless Wednesday – First Haircut

His wild hair made him sad.  And it made me laugh.  It was time for a haircut…

…so…

…we went to the Barber Shop.

He wasn’t too sure about what was going on.

Mommy had to hold him very still!

I took a baby and brought home a little boy. {sniff, sniff}

  1. Myra, I know the feeling. I have refused to cut little Z’s hair for two years. She has yet to get one. I can’t bear the feeling of having a child that needs her hair cut. I still love my “baby”. 🙂

  2. Those moments are always so bittersweet, aren’t they? I still can’t believe my baby boy is 6 now! And although I know it’s sad for you, I have to say that he does look super cute with the new haircut. 🙂 Just enjoy him being little while you can….the years go by way too fast!

  3. Sniff Sniff….I’m with you. I remember the only 2 haircuts we’ve had (I just let it grow out now that she’s older)…..I held her and she cried and cried and cried. I wanted to cry with her……we hardly cut anything…..just trimming bangs really. Too funny looking back on it.

  4. Your lil boy is adorable!! What a good boy he was too! It is amazing how they’re hair makes them look older. Our daughter was born with a TON of hair and it has always made her look older. She had her first hair cut at 8 or 9 months I think and has had about 14 hair cuts now and she’s 2. LOL!!

  5. So cute! He really does look more like a “little boy” now, instead of just a baby. Looks like he did really well, too.

    It will be a while before Katie needs a haircut. Her light blond hair has been pretty slow coming in. 😉

    Love those eyes!

    And Momma, I sure hope you have those locks that got cut off ?
    I still have both my childrens’ first haircuts, in ziploc bags, and it’s only been 27 years!!
    Love your blog Myra, it has blessed my soul, what a sweet lady you are.
    Blessings on your day!

  7. The first haircut for children is a whole ritual and so many emotions 🙂 Adult men are much more complicated. How to choose a haircut, how to wait for a home haircut machine, so many questions! But I found a useful blog https://wisebarber.com/ on this topic. It greatly simplifies all home hair care
