Family Staycation!

We had such a great weekend on our “staycation.” I’m not sure how much of a “cation” it was. But at least we were at home together! We didn’t get as many projects done, but it’s all good. I think that the important thing was accomplished…just relaxing and being together.

On Friday night, my wonderful parents (and 11 yr old brother) took care of Ridley, so we could go out to eat.

Mom took this photo of us before we left.

Awwww… I love my man!

We went here.

Our delicious food looked like this…

because…

We sat under this!

On Saturday morning I made this yummy breakfast casserole which we ate with fresh pineapple!

On Saturday afternoon, after a morning of grocery shopping, which you can read about here, I found Ridley sleeping like this…

SO sweet!

We are working to train Ridley to sit quietly in church…he’s slowly catching on!

After church, we had my family, Prince Charming’s mom and another friend over for Sunday dinner. My Mom made a pot roast with carrots and gravy and I made a salad, hashbrown casserole and dessert. I’ll be sharing the dessert recipe tomorrow. It was a hit!

After dinner, Mom did the dishes! What a sweetie!

Dad played with Ridley by rattling his false tooth to him. Cute, huh?

Of course, Pa-Paw let Ridley play with his oh-so-sanitary pocket knife! And of course, Ridley loved it!

We had a great weekend!

Won’t you please pray for this dear family? Today they are burying their precious 53 minute old baby girl who had Trisomy 18. I’m amazed by their courageous testimony!

Oh and I registered for Blissdom 2010 and I’m seriously, ridiculously giddy about it!!! Can’t wait to meet so many women in real life that I’ve met online!

Have a Happy Monday!!

Visited Nikki's blog earlier, so sad to hear, but they seem very strong in their faith which will make this process easier since they have Him to lean on.
ps…don't you love it when the little ones sleep with their butt in the air :o)
